2023 SCST/MST/NST Joint Poster Contest

🏆General Information

Dear Students of SCST, MST, and NST,

We are pleased to announce that 2023 SCST/MST/NST Joint Poster Contest will be held on Oct. 3 (Tuesday), 2023, jointly by the SCST, MST, and NST programs. This is a great opportunity to win your travel grants and interact with your colleagues. We encourage and welcome you all to participate in this big annual event.

The event plan is as follows: In the first round, students present their posters, and the referees will select outstanding students to proceed to the second round for oral presentations. Finally, winners will be selected.

🏆Poster Awards

Winners will be awarded travel grants for attending international conferences in 2024.

1^st prize: NT$ 90,000/ person for 1 winner
2^nd prize: NT$ 70,000/ person for 3 winners
3^rd prize: NT$ 37,500/ person for 6 winners

^*Notes

The travel grants must be used for attending international conferences held in 2024.
The awardees must deliver an oral or a poster presentation in the international conferences to be eligible for claiming the travel grants.

🏆Eligibility for Participation

Students who are going to be third-year students, or are currently in their third year or beyond are required to participate in the poster contest. If you are unable to participate, you have to provide a reason approved by your advisor. Students who are on study suspension are exempt from participation.
Students who are in their 1^st or 2^nd year are welcome and encouraged to participate in the poster contest.

🏆About Poster

The poster size is H120 × W90 cm, in order to fit a poster board (shown in the following picture).
Poster Pasting: 2:00 PM~ 4:00 PM, Oct. 2, 2023 (one day before the contest)
Poster Removal: 4:10 PM~ 5:00 PM, Oct. 3, 2023.

🏆Evaluation

First Round:
20 best posters will be selected by the referees during the Poster Session.
Second Round:
The presenters of the 20 selected posters each needs to give a 5-min (3-min talk plus 2-min Q&A) in the Oral Presentation Session (1:45 PM~ 4:10 PM).
The winners of the "2023 Joint Poster Contest" will be announced in the Awards Ceremony.
